One Sad Sunday

     So far away,
     Lonely today
     Take me to another place
     Where happiness won’t fade away

     Time slips away
     So much left to say
     Gazing from the mountain tops
     I’ve learned to smile again
     One sad Sunday

Chill me with the winter’s freeze
Cool me with the summer’s breeze
     Bury me with autumn’s leaves
     One sad Sunday

     And when I die
     Please don’t you cry
Just remember how you saw me
When you first looked into my eyes

     How can it be
     Sweet irony
     It tears a hole inside
     To leave this all behind
Never to see the night sky
Never to hear a child’s cry
Never to feel a moment’s breath

     So far away
     Lonely today
Formed a river with my tears
     Then I sailed away forever

     And when I die
     Please don’t you cry
     Born with shades of melancholy
     I apologize for my darkness

Chill me with the winter’s freeze
Cool me with the summer’s breeze
     Bury me in autumn’s leaves
     One sad Sunday
